Voluntary Benefits

Voluntary flexible benefits can be added to a scheme to increase the range of benefits available to employees without a large impact on a company’s costs.A voluntary benefit is a benefit that is hosted by the employer and can be paid for by an employee through choice from their own salary. These benefits offer advantages to both employer and employee. Voluntary benefits give employees access to a broad range of products and services that the employer has endorsed, at a better price than they would have obtained on the high street.

A greater number of organizations are using voluntary benefits to complement their flexible benefits schemes. They can be particularly useful to companies who would like to set up a flexible benefits scheme, but who do not necessarily have the budget to do so.
